Welcome to Core Five Labs!
We decided to open up this new section of our site so that we can share, in a less formal way, our commentary, reactions, and solutions to various issues we encounter in the web development business during the day-to-day plying of our trade.
Some of the topics we have planned include tutorials for everything from simple scripting tricks to advanced network configuration, some software releases (from single file solutions to full-blown apps), our own unique take on the lingering IE6 problem, and more. We might even convince the creatives to pop in with their two cents on the design topic du jour as well, whether it’s the Tropicana packaging debacle or the leaked Pepsi identity brief.
We hope you find this stuff as interesting as we do, and that perhaps it will, over time, become a useful resource for our peers in the web development community.

Does this product work with Windows Server 2008?

@Jeff, if you’re referring to the FileManager, it is platform-agnostic, so yes, it will work on Windows Server 2008. We’ve tested the Lasso connector on Windows, but not the python one. A PHP connector is coming soon. There is currently no ASP.NET connector, so if that’s what you’re using (or Ruby, ColdFusion, etc.), you’d have to write one yourself. (p.s. — contributions are welcome)

Hi, This is a great plugin and I’m so glad you’ve provided this free of charge. However, I can’t get it to work correctly. I’m using ExpressionEngine with CKEditor. I get a FileManager window when I click the image icon on the CKEditor toolbar. However, the directory and files do not show up on the left. I pointed the path in the .js config file to /images/article, which is set to 777. When I try to upload a file it says the upload is successful but then the swirly gif keeps going… and going, and nothing happens. Would love some help on this, your time is appreciated!

I checked out revision 12 (how long have you been working on this??) and it didn’t work. As I did some research in the source code, i saw an undefined variable “root” in scripts/jquery.filetree/connectors/jqueryFileTree.php. I think you’re requiring register_globals to be on or so? However, i don’t think that register globals will define a variable named $root. Please consider using $_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] instead.

I would like to know the license of this code? Is it public domain? Could you also provide a version without svn (in case of integrating this into an existing svn project you’ll get problems, like I’ll have it
